Tin Can Bay is half an hour drive east of Gympie. The Sandcastle Motel is on your right as you drive into Tin Can Bay. You can’t miss our large illuminated sign with our distinctive sandcastle logo.

It’s a leisurely five minute walk to the centre of town with restaurants, takeaways, shops and the supermarket. Walk another five minutes and you’ll find yourself at the marina and the popular dolphin feeding area. There are beautiful views across the waters of Tin Can Inlet to the Rainbow Beach hinterland and Carlo Sand Blow.
For the kids, there are nearby parks and playgrounds with a skate bowl and swings. For families, there are safe bike tracks around town with nature and wildflower walks and bird watching, and a picnic area with electric barbeques.
From the Sandcastle Motel it’s a short drive to a Coles Supermarket at Coolloola Cove as well as the Tin Can Bay Golf Course and Country Club.
